- Vemula Tirupathi Reddy Elected As President

Uppal:The prestigious Uppal Press Club has unanimously elected its new executive committee for a two-year term. Vemula Tirupathi Reddy has been elected as President, while Gyarampalli Shivaji has been chosen as the General Secretary.The newly elected committee includes P. Sagar as Working President; A.V. Sridhar Rao and Kukutla Narotham Reddy as Vice Presidents; Gutthi Shekhar as Treasurer; and Dasa Raju as Joint Secretary. Senior journalists Kolanu Paka Chandramouli, Donthula Venkata Ram Reddy, Kanchu Srinu, and Kodi Kanti Srinivas will serve as Chief Advisors. Reporters MuthyamReddy, Ramesh and others present The elections were conducted under the supervision of the ad hoc committee members Venkata Ram Reddy and Chandramouli and P. Mahender Reddy. Outgoing President Venkata Rami Reddy, while handing over the responsibilities to the new President, stated that the committee will function for a period of two years.After assuming charge, President Vemula Tirupathi Reddy said that the new committee would work towards upholding journalistic values and protecting the rights of journalists. He assured that priority would be given to resolving the issues faced by press club members.He further stated that efforts would be made to bring journalists of the Uppal region onto a common platform and work collectively for their welfare. Organising social responsibility programmes through the Press Club, mentoring young journalists, and strengthening coordination with government officials would be part of the committee’s agenda. He reaffirmed the club’s commitment to safeguarding press freedom.
