Uppal News: A large number of public representatives, leaders and officials attended the memorial service of journalist Madiraju Suresh, who passed away suddenly recently. On Wednesday, prominent people attended the memorial service organized by the Uppal Press Club at KKR Garden and praised Suresh’s services as a journalist. They appreciated Suresh’s services for solving public problems in the Uppal area. Speaking, the leaders said that they would remember their connection with Suresh and stand by his family. Uppal MLA Bandaru Lakshma Reddy said that no one can digest the death of journalist Suresh, who used to interact with everyone, and that Suresh’s contribution to the development of the Uppal Press Club is unforgettable. He suggested that the government should work for the health and safety of journalists. He said that he would discuss with the elders in the government and work to ensure that a double bedroom house is sanctioned for Suresh’s family. He assured that he would always stand by Suresh’s family. Former MLA NVSS Prabhakar praised journalist Suresh for being very active in solving public problems. He reminded that he had contributed a lot in the construction of the Uppal Press Club and that Suresh was also very proactive in the development of the Press Club. Malkajgiri Parliament BRS in-charge Ragidi Lakshma Reddy said that it is painful that journalists are constantly working to solve public problems but have to make a living in difficult financial conditions. He said that he will always stand by journalists and asked the entire society to stand by them. He announced that he would provide financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh to the family of journalist Suresh. Former Uppal Municipal Chairman Mekala Shiva Reddy said that Uppal journalists selflessly work to solve public problems. Earlier, BRS leaders Bannala Praveen Mudiraj, Sai Jan Shekhar, and Gandham Nageswara Rao spoke and appreciated the efforts of journalists to solve public problems by acting as a bridge between the government and the people and their leaders. They reminded that it is the responsibility of everyone in the society to support journalists. They said that they will support Suresh’s family in every way and provide financial support as per the orders of Uppal MLA Laxma Reddy. Suresh’s wife and daughter along with family members attended the memorial service. Among those who participated in the memorial service were Praja Darbar Editor Venu Gopal Sharma and Uppal leaders Bandi Narasimha Reddy, BRS leaders Bannala Praveen Mudiraj, Sai Zen Shekhar, Mekala Madhusudhan Reddy, Gudi Madhusudhan Reddy, Lethakula Raghupathi Reddy, Anya Balakrishna, A. Mohan Reddy, Pilli Nagaraju, Kondal Reddy, Palle Narsingarao, Pittala Naresh, Irelli Ravinder Reddy, K Jagan, Sukha Kiran, Niranjan, Panga Mahender Reddy, Telangana Sampath, Sudhakar Shetty, Charla Sudhakar Reddy, CPM leaders Erram Srinivas, participated in this meeting. Similarly, Uppal Circle Deputy Commissioner Anjaneyulu, Uppal Tahsildar Vani Reddy, Deputy Tahsildar Sunil, other Mandal Revenue staff participated in this meeting. Later, TUWJ State Treasurer Mothey Venkata Reddy, Medchal District President Gaddamidi Balaraj, Secretary Donthula Venkata Ramireddy assured that they would see to it that the financial assistance to Suresh’s family from the Telangana Government Media Academy arrives as soon as possible. Similarly, his family will receive a monthly pension of Rs 3000 from the Media Academy, he said. He suggested that the government should formulate a clear policy for the welfare and health safety of journalists. The TUWJ leaders congratulated all the members of the Uppal Press Club who worked hard to make the memorial meeting of journalist Suresh a grand success.
