- ₹115.85 crore development works inaugurated in Uppal constituency
UPPAL :State Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu has stated that development and welfare remain the top priorities of the State government. He said special emphasis is being laid on encouraging sportspersons and developing sports infrastructure across the State.Addressing the gathering after laying foundation stones for various development works worth ₹115.85 crore in the Uppal Assembly constituency, the Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the government is giving importance to all sectors. He added that playgrounds and sports complexes are being developed to nurture sporting talent.The foundation stone-laying ceremonies were carried out by Minister Sridhar Babu along with Government Chief Whip Patnam Mahender Reddy, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Mayor Srilatha, and Uppal Constituency Congress in-charge Mandumula Parameshwar Reddy.The Minister said that development works worth several hundred crores are already in progress in the Uppal constituency. He informed that the Uppal Nalla Cheruvu is being developed and beautified at a cost of ₹20 crore. He also said that sports complexes are being set up with an allocation of nearly ₹30 crore for the development of playgrounds in the constituency.Major Works Launched in Uppal ConstituencyKapra Division:Works worth ₹5 crore were launched for providing basic civic amenities at various Hindu, Muslim, and Christian burial grounds in Sai Baba Nagar, Ellareddyguda, Vempuguda, and Ammuguda.Development of a playground at Galileo Nagar, football grounds at Valvar Nagar and Kandiguda, construction of CC roads, and stormwater pipeline works were taken up at a cost of ₹17.80 crore.Charlapalli Division:RCC box drains were sanctioned at multiple locations, including D-Mart Road to Pochamma Temple and Krishna Reddy Nagar Arch, at a cost of ₹3.75 crore.Additional drainage works, CC roads, and a model graveyard for Hindu, Muslim, and Christian communities were approved with an allocation exceeding ₹15 crore.Meerpet H.B. Colony Division:A one-stop multi-purpose indoor and outdoor sports complex will be constructed near Bandabavi at a cost of ₹9 crore.Uppal Division:Construction of a ZPHS school building, toilets at MPPS Uppal, RO water plant at Uppal vegetable market, stormwater drains, sewerage drains, CC road repairs, park development, social infrastructure facilities, and a sports complex hall were sanctioned with allocations exceeding ₹60 crore.Corporators Mandumula Rajitha Parameshwar Reddy, Swarnaraju Shivamani, Bonthu Sridevi, and other public representatives, Congress leaders, and party workers participated in the programme.
