Uppal, October 17: Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy organised a Varuna Yagam at the Shiva Temple in Chilukanagar, praying for abundant rainfall across Telangana, a bountiful harvest and the well-being and prosperity of the people. On the occasion, the MLA performed special prayers, seeking the blessings of Lord Varuna for good rainfall throughout the state. He expressed his wish that farmers receive sufficient water for irrigation, crops yield a good harvest and happiness prevail in farming families. He also prayed for the health, prosperity and happiness of all people. During the ritual, prayers were offered for favourable weather conditions, the replenishment of lakes and ponds, the development of the agricultural sector and the overall prosperity of Telangana. Local BRS leaders, devotees and others participated in the religious programme.
