
Uppal: Independence Day celebrations were held on a grand note under the auspices of the Uppal Press Club. On the occasion, the National Flag was unfurled and rich tributes were paid to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country.ACP Venkat Reddy, Traffic ACP Sampath Kumar, Inspector Ramalinga Reddy, DI Ravi Kumar, Traffic CI Nagaraju, SI Chiranjeevi and others attended the celebrations.Speaking on the occasion, the officials extended Independence Day greetings to the people and urged everyone to celebrate the occasion with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. They said the sacrifices made by great leaders in the struggle for India’s freedom should always be remembered and called upon citizens to work towards fulfilling their ideals.The officials also appreciated the role of journalists in highlighting public issues and bringing them to the attention of the authorities.
