
Uppal: Steps are being taken to take cricket development in Telangana to the rural level, said T. Seshanarayana, Chairman of the District Cricket Infrastructure Development Committee.Addressing a press conference held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal, Seshanarayana said that HCA offices would be established in every district of the state within the next two to three months. Measures are also being taken to enable cricketers to submit their grievances and applications for selections directly from their respective districts.He said special efforts were being made to identify and encourage talented players in schools and colleges and to establish a dedicated system for conducting player selections at the district level.Seshanarayana further stated that steps had been initiated to establish BCCI-standard Centres of Excellence in Suryapet, Jagtial, Nagarkurnool and Siddipet districts.He added that the support of TG-20 franchises would be utilised to promote and strengthen cricket in rural areas across Telangana.
