
Hyderabad, June 29:The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has alleged that an unrecognized cricket association has been fraudulently conducting inter-district cricket tournaments by falsely claiming affiliation with recognized cricket bodies, thereby misleading players and the cricketing community.Addressing a press conference on monday Mr. Sheshnarayan, Spokesperson of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), said that an unrecognized association has been organizing tournaments under the names of recognized cricket bodies such as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), and Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) without any authorization, recognition, or constitutional standing.He stated that the issue is not merely a dispute over cricket administration but a serious matter involving constitutional violations, fraud, trademark infringement, and the integrity of official cricket records.Mr. Sheshnarayan alleged that by falsely claiming affiliation with recognized cricket authorities, the organizers are deceiving players, parents, educational institutions, sponsors, and the general public. He warned that participation in such unauthorized tournaments could adversely affect the careers of aspiring cricketers and undermine the credibility of the official cricket structure.The HCA spokesperson urged the concerned authorities to initiate appropriate legal action against those allegedly misusing the names and identity of recognized cricket organizations. He also appealed to players, coaches, clubs, and institutions to verify the authenticity and official recognition of tournaments before participating.Reaffirming the HCA’s commitment to protecting the integrity of cricket administration, Mr. Sheshnarayan said that only constitutionally recognized and duly authorized bodies are entitled to conduct official cricket tournaments and maintain authentic cricket records.
