Narender Reddy and Anil Kumar Yadav, Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, Government Whip Addanki Dayakar, and MLAs Bandari Lakshma Reddy, Mal Reddy Ranga Reddy, and Sri Ganesh attended the programme.Addressing a large gathering, Revanth Reddy expressed gratitude to the women of Telangana, particularly those from Malkajgiri, for their unwavering support throughout his political career. He said the blessings of women helped him rise from a ZPTC member to the Chief Minister of Telangana. Recalling his political journey, he stated that after facing defeat in Kodangal, the people of Malkajgiri gave him a fresh opportunity by electing him as a Member of Parliament, which eventually paved the way for him to become TPCC President and Chief Minister.Describing Malkajgiri as a “Mini India,” the Chief Minister said the constituency played a crucial role in shaping his political future. He admitted that due to a lack of cooperation from the previous government, several developmental aspirations of the region could not be fulfilled during his tenure as MP.Revanth Reddy said the State Government has adopted the “Telangana Rising 2047” Vision Document to transform Hyderabad into a globally competitive city with world-class infrastructure. He noted that nearly 1.3 crore people live within the Outer Ring Road limits and stressed the need for better coordination among departments, improved urban governance, and large-scale infrastructure investments.Defending the creation of new administrative corporations, he clarified that the move was aimed at ensuring administrative convenience and decentralization rather than political gains. He announced that the proposed Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation headquarters would be built to international standards and that police and municipal jurisdictions had been aligned to improve governance. The Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to developing the region beyond political considerations. He assured residents that the government would provide adequate funds for roads, lake beautification, Metro Rail expansion, and other infrastructure projects irrespective of the political affiliations of local representatives.A major portion of his speech focused on the Musi River rejuvenation project. Citing successful riverfront developments such as the Sabarmati Riverfront in Gujarat, the Ganga Riverfront in Uttar Pradesh, and the Yamuna Riverfront in Delhi, he questioned why Telangana should not pursue a similar transformation of the Musi River.According to him, the proposed development of a 55-kilometre stretch from Gandipet to Gowrelli would create employment opportunities, boost tourism, improve public health, and significantly enhance land values in the region. He also highlighted the impact of river pollution on residents of downstream districts, particularly Nalgonda, where contamination has led to health concerns.Revanth Reddy assured that families affected by the Musi project would receive rehabilitation, housing, and educational support. He alleged that certain political leaders were attempting to obstruct the project and other major infrastructure initiatives. The Chief Minister also criticized Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, accusing him of failing to support Telangana’s interests in securing approvals and funding for Metro Rail expansion, the Regional Ring Road project, Musi rejuvenation, and paddy procurement. He said the state government had made repeated efforts with the Centre to secure approvals for these projects and called upon all political parties to cooperate for the development of Hyderabad.Concluding his address, Revanth Reddy announced that Phase-II of the Musi River rejuvenation project from Nagole to Gowrelli would commence within 100 days. He urged political leaders to keep aside differences and work together for the city’s growth, stating that development should remain above partisan politics.
