
Uppal, Feb. 10: Jitender Reddy has lodged a complaint with the Uppal Police alleging that he was assaulted and threatened during a foundation stone-laying programme held in Uppal on Monday.According to the complaint, P. Jitender Reddy (41), a resident of Hanumsai Nagar, Uppal, stated that he attended the programme following the call of the local MLA and party leaders. During the event, he was allegedly confronted by M. Parameshwar Reddy, who reportedly questioned his presence, used abusive language, and spread false allegations against him.The complainant alleged that Parameshwar Reddy, along with his supporters, suddenly attacked him, causing injuries. He further claimed that the accused instigated his followers to assault him and issued threats, allegedly saying that he would “take care of him” and warning of serious consequences.Jitender Reddy stated that the attack was unprovoked and amounted to an attempt to kill. Expressing fear for his life, he sought legal action against the accused and requested police protection from further harm.Copies of the complaint were also submitted to the Uppal Circle Inspector, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Division, and the Police Commissioner.Police officials said that the complaint has been received and that appropriate action will be taken after due investigation.
