- Accused Arrested, Property Worth ₹14.35 Lakh Recovered

Uppal February 7 – The Uppal Police successfully solved a daytime house burglary case within 24 hours, arrested the accused, and recovered gold and silver ornaments worth ₹14.35 lakh.The burglary occurred on February 5 between 6.00 am and 11.30 am at the residence of Gunti Mallamma in Vasavi Nagar, Ramanthapur, under Uppal Police Station limits of the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate. An unidentified person broke open a cupboard and decamped with 85 grams of gold ornaments and 60 tolas of silver articles. A case was registered as Cr.No.180/2026 under Sections 331(3) and 305(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).Based on credible information, police identified the accused as Talla Raghavender alias Srinivas Goud alias Dakkali Ramesh alias Srinu (36), a resident of Vasavi Nagar, Ramanthapur. He was arrested at his residence on February 6 at around 6.00 pm, and the entire stolen property was recovered from his possession.According to police, the accused used to target locked houses during daytime hours and commit burglaries by breaking open doors and cupboards with an iron rod. He is a habitual offender and had earlier been involved in similar house burglary cases in Shabad, Shadnagar, Narsingi, and Amberpet areas, for which he had served jail terms.The case was solved under the leadership of Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, with the guidance of DCP Uppal K. Suresh Kumar, DCP Crimes K. Gunasekhar, Additional DCP N. Venkataramana, ACP Y. Venkat Reddy, and the efforts of Inspectors K. Bhaskar, DI Y. Ramlinga Reddy and Dsi Rajnikar, Asi Mahendar Asi Srinivas Head Constables Jangaiah and the Uppal Police Station crime staff.
