Director General of Police Ravi Gupta felicitated the winners who bagged the overall championship (Charminar Trophy) in the All India Police Duty Meet. A special meeting was held at the state police headquarters in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Sports Department IGP Stephen Ravindra, AIG M Ramana Kumar, ISW SP M Ramakrishna and others participated in this felicitation program.
Speaking on the occasion, Director General of Police Ravigupta said that it is commendable that the Telangana Police Department has won the Charminar Trophy after almost 12 years. At the national level, the Telangana police showed their talent and won five gold medals, seven silver medals, the overall winners trophy in professional photography and the overall runners trophy in professional videography. As we have won our Charminar trophy, we should preserve it accordingly, the DGP wished the winners to train and achieve more success in future.
Director General of Police Ravigupta said that other states have asked Telangana police to train them which is a proof of Telangana police department’s performance. He opined that appropriate measures should be taken to organize duty meets and sports meets at district level and state level in future. On this occasion, IGP Stephen Ravindra explained about duty meet training. Duty Met Chief Coach is Team Manager. ISW SP M Ramakrishna explained the All India Police duty in Lucknow.
On this occasion, G Ramakrishna Reddy, D Vijay Kumar, V Kiran Kumar, P Ananthar Reddy, M Devender Prasad, P Pawan, N Venkataramana, M Hariprasad, K Srinivas, Sheikh Khader Sharif who won silver schemes. Santosh and Satish were felicitated by DGP Ravigupta with shawls. ISW SP M Ramakrishna, Reserve Inspector Mohammad Iqbal, Sub Inspector ML Narasimha Reddy who acted as chief coaches and Constable K Anjaiah, ARSIs Srinivas Mishra, Pritam Singh, Head Constable P Sudarshan, ASI B as coaches, DGP felicitated Jayaraju, photographer T Mohan Rao, monitoring officer, Intelligence Additional SP D Pratap were present
